We visited my Mammaw Lucy (age 89) last week while Craig was off from work. We had a great time. We are so thankful for her and her health. This is Reid's Great-Great Grandmother.

The morning of December 23rd, we visited with Nana and Papa (Craig's Parents). We had breakfast and Reid opened his gifts from them.

Then that night everyone went to Stan and Teresa's to celebrate Craig's birthday. We also exchanged gifts with Garland Kay and Cohen. Cohen shared some BIG news with us. Angel took off his sweater leaving him in this t-shirt which reads "Guess what Santa is bringing me..a new brother or sister in July"!! We are all very excited for them.

I worked really hard to find Cohen a banjo. Cohen has been going around for months playing "the banjo" with random items. So, I was determined to get the boy a banjo. He was really excited.

Christmas Eve morning we spent with Honey and G-Daddy before I had to go to work. Reid helped cook pancakes.

This is a sit-in-spin...Reid decided he likes it better as a stand-in-spin. He really likes it because it plays music. If you didn't know Reid is really into music and dancing. He wakes up dancing and goes to bed dancing.

Here is Reid running to see what Santa left for him.

We had a wonderful Christmas.

We were not sure what to expect when Reid met Santa for the first time.
No screams, no smiles....just melancholy.

I've been alittle under the weather over the last 24-48 hours with a cold and working on cutting a molar but wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving!! We all have so much to be thankful for.

Sorry that it took so long to get the birthday pictures posted.

Happy 1st Birthday, REID!

Reid's Second Halloween.  We went to Angel and Nathan's House and celebrated with our families.   We tried to go trick-or-treating but just as we stepped out the door it starting raining alittle harder than we desired to be walking around in.  So, the girls including Garland Kay handed out candy.  We had lots of good food and a great time.

Our costumes have absolutely nothing in common.  Craig was a UPS man, I was Dracula's bride and Reid was....well, I think you can tell....SKUNK!

This is picture of the final product of the dessert that I made for the party.  Dirt cake with a few little critters lurking around.  Nothing special...I just added this picture so I could show Wanda, my friend from work, what they turned out looking like.

My "old high school buddies" - Brian, Brent and Steve - came to the house tonight.  It was a reunion "session" many years in the making.  There is a lot of history in this picture, but I'm too tired to elaborate tonight.  If you feel compelled to know a little more about the gathering...check out Steve's blog in a couple days (we've linked to it) and enjoy a finely word-smithed tale of ole buddies recounting days gone by.  I'll attempt to elaborate at a later date but the cliff notes description is simply a great time with some great friends.

Reid and I came up with this alternative use for his new Radio Flyer toy.  The bucket-like part he is riding in can be flipped over to form a ride on toy that he can scoot around on or it can be turned upside down similar to how it is in the picture and serve as a little wagon of sorts.  Well...we discovered it's much more fun to tilt the bucket slightly, let Reid get in, hold on, and take a "race car slick track ride" around the kitchen, living room, dining room, foyer "loop."  Our male blog viewers should appreciate that he especially likes "power slides."

Look what Reid has discovered....MULCH!!  Yesterday, he found it at my parents and played in it alittle bit.  But, today when we went outside to play he headed straight for the flower beds.  This was the longest that I have seen him sit and pay close attention to something.  He seemed very intrigued.  I let him play in it even though I think mulch is nasty.  I would much rather have seen him playing in dirt.  Oh, well.

Last night we made a trip to Boo at the Zoo along with the rest of Knoxville.  Angel, Nathan and Cohen joined us.  We met there and had pre-zoo tailgating party. We had pizza and coke along with some baby food for Reid.  After eating we headed for the line.  Thankfully, we bought tickets at Kroger yesterday, the line for tickets was very long.  The boys were mesmerized by all the people and costumes.  Reid rode in the wagon and Cohen in his stroller and they were both very content until the very end.  We were able to see several of the animals and we were able to get really close to the camel.  At the end, Angel and I took the boys on the carousel.  Both of the boys really enjoyed it.  I just have to tell this...Reid pooped somewhere along the way, so he really held up to the reputation of animal--skunk.

Check out snack-time at Honey's house.  There is much organization and order at her house.  Reid and Addison don't normally sit beside each other because Reid picks at her.  Today was an exception because I put Reid in the wrong spot.  Reid loves playing with his friends.

Reid loves to brush his teeth.  It is so funny to watch him.  He will brush and then wants to get alittle water on his toothbrush so he puts his toothbrush under the faucet for me to turn on the water.  He wets it then he starts brushing again.  Oh, and then when I think he has brushed long enough he throws a fit when I put his toothbrush up.

We took our first camping trip this last weekend.  We went to Indian Boundary in Tellico with Angel, Nathan and Cohen.  We had a great time.  Thankfully Reid is walking which made it really nice.  All he wanted to do was roam around.  We had great weather.

Reid enjoyed playing on the inside of the camper in the mornings and at bedtime.

He walked and walked just looking around.

Tired and ready to go home.
Enjoyed the trip but we love our home.
